2020 – This piece was composed after sifting through the video sequences I had recorded at 'A rapa das bestas' in Sabucedo, Galicia. Here, the locals round-up the wild horses from the surrounding hills into a small ampitheatre (you can be part of the crowd to watch) where they individually, one by one, wrestle the horses to the ground to cut their tails and shave their manes. Though quite brutal to watch, it is an ancient tradition and we are to believe that no harm comes to the horses.
