1996 - This was a strange one! Danny had been staying over at my house for the weekend at the same time that Jenessa and Gina, the featured vocalists on 'Nothing Competes With My Music'. It was pure party time! I had been listening a lot to the classic 1982 ' Face to Face' album by the supremely talented Gino Soccio. Somehow, this song ended up being put on the reel-to-reel machine in the studio. The girls started singing along whilst Danny and I jammed some extra musical parts and messed with the original arrangement. What you hear is the result of that weekend. I hope that if ever Gino hears this, or Atlantic Records for that matter, they don't take offence at this 'studio jam' that was never meant to be anything other than that.
