1993 - The Bassheads, who had scored a big crossover European hit with their single 'Is There Anybody Out There', were working on their follow up single 'Start a Brand New Life'. Their record label were unhappy with their original version as a commercially viable product and they approached me to do a remix. I liked the song, but the music didn't really do it for me, so I started with just the vocals and composed the music around them and how they made me feel. When the 'remix' was finished, it ended up being released by the label as the main single!
