1989 - This track happened kind of by chance. After finishing the ambient remix of 'Total Stranger' there was one day left in the studio and I had been messing around with an idea at home. On television there had recently been a televised Earth Day to raise awareness about the problems with pollution and climate change, a forerunner to the constant campaigns of today. It featured many famous artists and Madonna was one of the main commentators talking about the issues. Using this as a theme, I played the idea to the studio engineer who thought it was great. I ended up finishing and mixing it that day. As an afterthought the track was added to the end of the digital master mixes of 'Total Stranger' which were posted off to RCA. To my complete surprise I received a call a few days later from the label who said they absolutely loved it! Because of this we ended up having a double 12" release pack featuring all the mixes! It turned out to be an environmental campaign track ahead of its time.
